Will Anderson is the Progressive nominee for Burlington City Council in Ward 6

‘My dedication to public service is shaped by the fact that I was raised in circumstances that afforded me some of the greatest levels of stability and opportunity in human history. I believe that, given the resources this country possesses, and the ingenuity of its people, we have no excuse to continue avoiding the provision of this standard of life, liberty and happiness to everyone. If you are a person, and you are here, I think you deserve a safe, stable place to live, treatment to keep you happy and healthy, and ample opportunities for education and work.

This is an amazing city, and the best place I’ve ever lived. I love it here- but that being said, we have problems. We are experiencing a crisis of affordability, particularly in the pursuit of shelter. Neighbors live in fear of neighbors who simply don’t have the resources they need to thrive in our city, in no small part because of the proliferation of drugs and our present inability to adequately treat addiction and mental illness. Our economy is shaped to help the rich get richer- at the expense of working people and the planet we all live on. As your City Councilor, I will never stop working to find and implement solutions to these problems- and I’m going to bring a few to the table as soon as you elect me on Town Meeting Day.’

Town Meeting Day is March 5th- Vote at Edmunds Middle School
